Spartans Release 2018-19 Schedule

The Spartans will begin the season with the 35th annual Mary Fossum Invitational.
EAST LANSING - Head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll and the Michigan State women's golf program has released the schedule for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

The two-time defending Big Ten champion Spartans will open the season at home with the 35th annual Mary Fossum Invitational at Forest Akers West, Sept. 14-15. MSU won its home tournament for the 11th time last season.
The Mason Rudolph Championship returns to the Spartans' schedule this year, Sept. 21-23, at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee. Michigan State last competed in the tournament in 2016.
MSU will be making its 10th straight trip to the Tar Heel Invitational at the UNC Finley Course in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Oct. 12-14. Two weeks later, MSU will close the fall with another familiar tournament, The Landfall Tradition, Oct. 26-28, at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Spartans finished third at the tournament last year and will be making their ninth consecutive appearance in event this fall.
The Spartans' spring schedule begins Feb. 3-5 at the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.
Michigan State took third at the Allstate Sugar Bowl a year ago and will return to the event in New Orleans, Feb. 17-19.
The Briar's Creek Invitational, March 18-19 in John's Island, South Carolina, will be the Spartans' lone tournament in March.
MSU will play its first tournament of the final month of the regular season, April 7-9 in Sunset, South Carolina, at the Clemson Invitational. The Spartans were the runners-up at last year's event.
The Spartans have captured six Lady Buckeye Invitational titles and will look for another when they take part in the event, April 13-14 at Ohio State's Scarlet Course.
Michigan State has claimed both of the last two Big Ten Championships played at TPC River's Bend in Maineville, Ohio, and will aim for three straight at the course as the 2019 league championships will be played April 19-21.
For the first time since 2002, Michigan State will host an NCAA Regional as the East Lansing Regional will be played at Forest Akers West, May 6-8.
The 2019 NCAA Championships will take place May 17-22 at The Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
