Michigan State is making its third consecutive NCAA Regional appearance as it will be one of 13 teams competing at the OSU Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio, May 14-16. The top five teams from the 54-hole Columbus Regional, plus the top individual not on one of the five advancing teams, will move on to the NCAA Championships, May 25-30 at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
"It's a great golf course and is really good for testing all aspects of your game," MSU head coach Casey Lubahn. "We were in a battle there a few weeks ago and played well. We got a good break in being selected to play in this regional we intend to take advantage of it."

THE OSU SCARLET COURSE
The Spartans will playing the OSU Scarlett Course for the second time this season as they took seventh place at the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, April 21-22. Two Spartans placed in the top 10 - Michael Sharp (sixth; 1-over-par 214) and Kaleb Johnson (eighth; 2-over-par 215).
The Spartans have played the OSU Scarlett Course in the Kepler Intercollegiate each of the last four seasons with their best finish â€" second â€" coming in 2016. The course was renovated by Jack Nicklaus in 2006.

The Spartans took seventh place at the Big Ten Championships, April 27-29 at the Baltimore Country Club in Lutherville, Maryland. Kaleb Johnson tied for 15th place to lead MSU.
LUBAHN'S THOUGHTS
"I think it has been good week of preparation. The guys have played well. I think they've had a nice three days to get honed in. There's a lot of excitement and now all we can do is overachieve. There's no threat, so when you're playing without a threat, I think you can open it up."
