
Meet the Spartans: Wyatt Cool

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Michigan State wrestling will feature a newcomer weekly throughout the preseason in order to "Meet the Spartans" leading up to the 2018-19 season. This week, freshman Wyatt Cool (Mendon, Michigan / Mendon High School) sat down with msuspartans.com to answer some questions.
1. Why did you choose to wrestle at Michigan State?
I've always been a Michigan State fan and I've always had ties to campus through the agricultural industry and livestock which is one of MSU's biggest departments.

2. What are you most excited about as you begin your Spartan wrestling career?
I'm excited to make lifelong friends and to work through one of the toughest yet most rewarding sports with my team.

3. When did you first start wrestling?
I started wrestling when I was 8 years old.

4. Favorite wrestling memory?
My favorite memory is winning an Individual State Championship and sharing that experience with my team.

5. What's your major at Michigan State and why?
Business is my major because I enjoy meeting new people and building relationships which is crucial for a successful business.

6. Who has taught you the most about wrestling growing up?
My high school coach Caleb Stephenson has taught me the most about wrestling. Even when I was little he would work with me and help me improve my technique at a young age.
