EAST LANSING -- The 26th-ranked Michigan State women's golf team will wrap up its fall schedule this weekend at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina. The three-day tournament hosted by UNCW will take place Friday – Sunday at the Country Club of Landfall.
Â
"It's another great opportunity," MSU head coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll said. "There will be several of the top teams in the country participating, so it's another great field. We just have to continue to see where we stack up and what we need to work on over the winter break to be ready for the spring.
Â
"We always love this tournament; it's a great field and a great place. We always get great support from a lot of awesome Spartan fans."
Â
The Course
While the Country Club of Landfall sustained some damage due to Hurricane Florence, the club's Pete Dye course will be ready to go this weekend. The par-72 course will play at 6,166 yards. Learn more about the course at the tournament website here.
Â
Teams will tee off from holes No. 1 and 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
Â
The Lineup
The Spartans will close the fall with the same five players that have played in the previous three tournaments: Valery Plata, Paz Marfa Sans, Allyson Geer-Park, Haylin Harris and Yurika Tanida.
Â
The Field
The 18-team field includes seven teams in the most recent Golfweek top 30. The field includes: Arkansas (8), Duke (7), Furman (20), LSU, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State (26), North Carolina State, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Purdue, South Carolina (22), UCF, UNCW, Virginia (4) and Wake Forest (13).
