
Incoming Freshman Geer Named GAM Player of the Year

EAST LANSING - Allyson Geer, who recently signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Michigan State golf team, has been named The Golf Association of Michigan Women's Player of the Year, the organization announced on Nov. 14.
Geer, who has been the top-ranked junior golfer in Michigan since 2013, won the 100th Michigan Women's Amateur Championship in August and was an AJGA All-American for the second time this year. She is a five-time winner on the AJGA circuit and a two-time Rolex Junior All-American (2014 and 2016).
Geer signed her NLI on Nov. 9 and will enroll at Michigan State in January 2017 to begin competing with the Spartans during the upcoming spring season.
