Spartans Finish Season Top 10 in Region

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team finished its season ranked No. 7 in the Midwest Region, and No. 68 nationally in the final ITA rankings.
With a 16-9 overall record, including a 5-6 mark in Big Ten play, the Spartans had numerous highlights on the season. Three singles players finished with winning records in conference play, as Lexi Baylis, Erin Faulkner and Emily Meyers all went 6-5 and Baylis set a single-season record in wins with 30 as a freshman.
Faulkner was named All-Big Ten, and finished ranked No. 12 in the region. Baylis also finished top 20 in the region at No. 19.
The Spartans will return five of their top six singles players next year, only one of which (Meyers) will be a senior.
