Spartans in Fourth Place at Bryan National Collegiate

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Michigan State women's golf team is in fourth place after two rounds of the Bryan National Collegiate with a 29-over-par 605 (302-303), six shots behind current leader Virginia and Wake Forest. The competitive 18-team tournament, which is being held at the par 72, 6,386-yard Bryan Park Champions Course, features 11 teams in the Golfstat Top 50.
Junior Gabby Yurik led the Spartans for the second straight day on Saturday with a 2-over-par 74, and is tied for fifth place on the individual leaderboard at 4-over 148 (74-74). Yurik is four shots behind Briana Mao of Virginia, who leads the field through 36 holes with a 2-over 144 (70-74).
Katie Sharp and Sarah Burnham are both in the top 25, as Sharp is tied for 17th place (76-75--151) and Burnham is tied for 24th (74-78--152).
Lindsey McPherson improved her second round by four strokes with a 76 and is 12-over-par for the tournament (80-76--156). Alison Knowles owns a 157 (78-79) through two rounds.
The third and final round of the Bryan National Collegiate is set for Sunday. The shotgun start will begin at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring is available on golfstat.com.
