• Michigan State improved to 78-97 all-time against Michigan, including 17-7 in the Breslin Center.

• MSU improved to 22-14 against Michigan under head coach Tom Izzo.

• Sunday was Michigan State's first overtime win over Michigan since Jan. 24, 1980, and MSU is now 2-5 all-time against UM in overtime contests.

• Junior forward Matt Costello's four blocks are a season-high and two behind his career-best of six rejections.

• Costello's four rejections marks the third time this season that an MSU player has had four blocks in a game this season.

• Costello's six free throws ties a career-high, matching six made charity stripe shots from against Eastern Michigan (12/17/14).
