Branden Dawson recorded three blocks on the night, giving him 101 total for his career. He becomes just the third player in MSU history with 1,000 career points and 100 career blocks, joining Draymond Green and Adreian Payne.
Five different Spartans finished in double figures, while six had nine or more points. MSU is now 6-0 this season when five players score 10 or more points and 9-0 when four or more players score in double digits.
Gavin Schilling and Branden Dawson each recorded double-doubles, with Schilling's 10 boards being a career-high in Big Ten play. Dawson has now recoded a double-double in four of six conference games so far this season.
MSU got a dunk from Branden Dawson off the opening tip and didn't allow Penn State to lead for the remainder of the game. The game also featured seven ties.

The Spartans called a timeout at the 4:41 mark in the second half with the score tied at 51-51. MSU then used an 8-0 run over the next 1:38 to open up the game in the closing minutes.
With the win, Michigan State is now 21-1 all-time vs. Penn State in East Lansing and has won 18 of the last 22 games in the series.
