GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Michigan State rising senior women's golfer Lindsey McPherson shot a 5-over-par 76 in Friday's second round at the Meijer LPGA Classic held at Blythefield Country Club and finished with a 36-hole total of 7-over 149 (73-76). She missed the cut by five shots.
McPherson received a sponsor exemption from Meijer to compete in the professional tournament.
The Flushing, Michigan, native, who entered the day just one shot back from the projected cut, carded a birdie on the par-3 second hole and finished the front nine at 3-over 37. She shot a 4-over 39 on the back nine to close at 5-over 76 for the day.
