Spartans Improve in Second Round at Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Michigan State women's golf team shot a 303 in the second round of the Landfall Tradition and is tied for 17th heading into Sunday's final round with a 618 (315-303).
The 18-team field, which includes 10 teams ranked in the Golfweek Top 25, is being held at the par 72, 6,159-yard Country Club of Landfall's Pete Dye Course.
Gabby Yurik led the Spartans on Saturday with a 1-over 73 and is tied for 65th at 152 (79-73). Sarah Burnham is also tied for 65th (77-75--152).
Lindsey McPherson shot the third-best round of the day with a 76, while Jacqueline Setas and Katie Sharp each fired a 79.
