Spartans Finish 16th at Tar Heel Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Michigan State women's golf team finished in 16th place at the Tar Heel Invitational after shooting a final round of 310 Sunday at UNC Finley Golf Course. MSU finished the 54-hole tournament, which featured 10 teams in the Golfweek Top 25, with a 50-over-par 914 (301-303-310).
Sophomore Gabby Yurik led the Spartans in Chapel Hill by tying for 42nd place at 10-over 226 (73-74-79).
Freshman Jacqueline Setas tied for 59th at 230 (77-74-79), while senior Lindsey McPherson tied for 64th (78-76-77--231).
Freshman Sarah Burnham shot the best round of the day for the Spartans in the third round with a 3-over 75. Burnham closed at 17-over-par (78-80-75--233) to tie for 76th.
Senior Jenny Sritragul tied for 80th with a 234 (73-79-82).
Michigan State returns to action for the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Oct. 24-26.
