EAST LANSING, Mich. - Due to inclement weather, the game between the MSU men's soccer team and Detroit on Wednesday evening has been postponed. The Spartans and Titans played the first half of the match before lightning and darkness kept the game from being concluded. The Michigan State and University of Detroit athletic department staff will determine at a later date if the game will be rescheduled.
The Spartans were up 1-0 at the end of the first half after a free kick from Sean Conerty set up a Detroit own goal.
Michigan State will continue on the road as the team will travel to Milwaukee, Wis., on Sunday, Sept. 15 to take on Marquette at 4 p.m. ET.
