Boca Raton, Fla. - Michigan State women's tennis improved its record to 9-3 on the season after sweeping Florida Atlantic University, Wednesday afternoon. MSU won 6-0, after picking up all six singles matches. The two teams did not compete in double matches because of weather.
Senior Marina Bohrer defeated her opponent on court one in two sets, 6-1, 6-2 as did Michaela Silesova at the sixth spot. At the No. 2 spot Catherine Parenteau snagged the win, 6-3, 6-3. Olga Chernova edged Natasha Basma at the third spot, 6-1, 6-3. On court four, Emily Meyers fell in the first set, 2-6, before rebounding to win posting 6-2, 6-2 to take the win. Nicole Herzog took the point against FAU at the fifth spot scoring 6-1, 6-3.
Michigan State will continue its time in Florida, facing Florida International University tomorrow, March 7, at 12 p.m.
