ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team finished up play Saturday at the ITA Midwest Regionals hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. Saturday's action began the singles main draw play at the Varsity Tennis Center.
Senior Marina Bohrer qualified for the singles main draw and received a first-round bye. She faced Illinois' Alexis Casati in the second round. Bohrer lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-4.
Bohrer was the last Spartan standing in the tournament. Emily Meyers, Athena Trouillot, and Olga Chernova all lost in the singles qualifying round on Thursday. The doubles teams of Meyers and Julianne Gruber and Trouillot and Bohrer lost in the second round of the doubles main draw on Friday.
The Spartans host the Green and White Invitational Oct. 26-27.
