
MSU Drops 3-1 Decision at Ohio State

Columbus, Ohio - Michigan State dropped a 3-1 decision on the road to Ohio State on Sunday afternoon. The Spartans are winless in their last six games and fall to 8-8-2 on the season and 2-7-1 in conference play, Ohio State improves its record to 12-4-1 and 7-2-1 in the Big Ten.
Tiffany Cameron scored two first-half goals for the Buckeyes to give them a 2-0 lead at halftime. MSU cut into the deficit in the 65th minute on Chelsea Peterson's third goal of the season. She was assisted by Olivia Stander on the play, good for her team-leading 10th on the year.
Ohio State added one more tally to extend their lead two goals with just under 10 minutes to play and secure the victory.
Courtney Clem made four saves in the first half before Garbrielle Garuder made her second straight appearance for the Spartans, making three saves and allowing a goal in the second half.
The Spartans were outshot 25-8 by the Buckeyes while corners were even at five apiece.
Michigan State returns home for their final regular-season game next Saturday, taking on Northwestern at 1 p.m.
