KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Michigan State baseball team fell at Western Michigan, 10-4, Tuesday afternoon at Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field. Sophomore second baseman Ryan Jones saw his school-record hitting streak of 33 games come to an end as he went 0-for-4 with a walk.

Bronco starter Chris Bossenbery (1-1) earned his first win of the season after allowing just one run on seven hits in his five innings.
In Jones' four official at-bats, he hit a hard liner to left field in the first, flew out to center in the third, grounded out to third in the fifth, and popped out to center to lead off the ninth. He walked and scored in the seventh.
