EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's golf team has been named the Golfweek National Team of the Week following its victory at the Mary Fossum Invitational last weekend at Forest Akers West Golf Course. The win marked MSU's fifth consecutive victory at its home tournament.
Sophomore Shannon Warner led the way for MSU, tying for third with an even-par 216. Fellow sophomore Lindsey Solberg, playing as an individual, also tied for third.
Senior Laura Kueny, a second-team preseason All-American, finished in ninth place for her 15th career top-10 finish.
