EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State women's soccer players Lauren Hill and Laura Heyboer were both named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV teams. The teams are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Hill was elected to the first team and is now eligible for Academic All-America consideration. The English major currently sports a 3.58 GPA and ranks fifth in the Big Ten in points (21).
Heyboer, a kinesiology major with a 3.64 GPA, earned a spot on the third team. Despite suffering a season-ending injury in a win over Minnesota on Oct.25, she is still tied for the team lead in points with 21.
The Spartans will play their final regular-season match of the year on Friday (Nov. 6) when they host Ohio State at 3 p.m. at DeMartin Stadium.
