
Men's Basketball Holds Annual Green-White Scrimmage

EAST LANSING, Mich. -
The Michigan State men's basketball team held its Green-White scrimmage on Saturday at the Breslin Center. The game consisted of two 20-minute periods, with the Green team recording a 50-32 win in the first and the White squad posting a 47-38 win in the second half.
Sophomore Chris Allen led all scorers with 27 points and was three-of-four from the line. He added five assists and had just one turnover for the White team. Classmate Kalin Lucas recorded 24 points, leading the Green squad. He led all players with seven assists and was four-for-eight in three pointers.
Senior Goran Suton posted the only double-double of the game with 12 points and 12 rebounds. He also led all players with three blocks. Junior Raymar Morgan posted 10 points for Green before switching to the White squad and adding four more points.
Green outscored White, 50-32 in the first, with Lucas posting 15 points and four assists. Suton had a team-high seven rebounds in the first, and sophomore Tom Herzog had four. Allen led the White team with 14 points, making three-of-four from behind the arc.
In the second stanza, Walton recorded 15 points and Allen added 13 for the White squad. Suton scored 10 of his 12 points for Green, and Morgan led both squads in rebounds with seven, including five defensive rebounds.
White was 9-of-10 from the free throw line, including going 4-for-4 in the second half, and had 13 steals.
The Spartans begin exhibition play on Wednesday, Nov. 5, when they host Northern Michigan at 7 p.m.
