Sunday's match against South Dakota State is the first ever meeting between the two teams.
Freshman Sensation: Through Oct. 19, Laura Heyboer continued to lead the NCAA in points (44) and goals (18). Her 44 points are five more than any other women's soccer player from a BCS conference.
Her 44 points and 18 goals both rank third on MSU's single-season lists.
Lucky 13: MSU's 13 wins this season are the most in school history since Big Ten women's soccer began in 1994 and the most by a MSU team since 1991 when it won 14 games.
MSU's 13 wins this season mark the fifth time in the last eight seasons the Spartans have reached a dozen wins.
Quick Start: The Spartans' 10 wins in 11 games this season is the fastest any MSU team has reached the 10-win plateau in program history.

Shutting `Em Down: Goalkeeper Lindsey Wrege ranks second in the conference in shutouts (seven) and goals-against average (0.78). Her seven shutouts put her in a tie for fourth on the MSU single-season list.
Earlier this season, the Portage native put together a 504-minute shutout streak that spanned five games.
Ranked Again: MSU is ranked No. 30 in the latest SoccerBuzz.com poll.
Hill Moving Up the Charts: With 11 goals this season and 27 in her career, Lauren Hill has moved into eighth place on the MSU all-time goals list. Her five game-winning goals this season have given her 11 for her career, moving her into a tie for second on the MSU all-time game-winning goal list. Hill's 30 points this season have moved her into sole possession of eighth place all-time with 66 for her career.
Offensive Domination: The Spartans' 44 goals this season are the most in program history since 1994 when they scored 45 in the first season of Big Ten women's soccer.
