Coach Slobodnik-Stoll Previews Mary Fossum Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's golf team opens the 2007-08 season this weekend by hosting the Mary Fossum Invitational at Forest Akers West Golf Course, Sept. 8-9. MSU has won the fall tournament at Forest Akers West in three of the last four years, capturing the 2003 and 2005 Mary Fossum Invitationals and the 2006 Lady Northern Invitational. In addition, the Spartans captured the 2007 Big Ten Championship on their home course.
MSU coach Stacy Slobodnik-Stoll stopped by the MSU athletics weekly press conference on Monday to preview the weekend tournament.
