Local Media Takes Part In Men's Basketball Practice

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's basketball coach Tom Izzo and the Spartan basketball team put the local media through a 2-hour practice at the Breslin Center on Thursday afternoon. The practice featured extensive fundamental drill work on dribbling and shooting, defensive communication drills, learning new offensive plays and ended with a 20-minute scrimmage. The media also got to experience realistic film sessions both before and after practice, first learning how to do the drills, and second, seeing what they did wrong. While it was not the highest level of basketball ever played at the Breslin Center, the 21 media members who did participate were great sports and everyone had a great time.
