+ Michigan State (18-4, 9-2 Big Ten) defeated Minnesota, 81-62, marking the Spartans' eighth win in nine games.
+ Alan Anderson's intense defense led to four steals, tying his career high.
+ With the first five of his 14 total points, Paul Davis reached the 1,000-point milestone. As a result, MSU becomes the seventh Big Ten team in conference history to boast four 1,000-point scorers on the same roster.
+ MSU also becomes just the fifth team in Big Ten history with four players to score all 1,000 points at the school (no transfers)..
+ MSU is the 46th team in NCAA history with four 1,000-point scorers.
+ State hit 63 percent of its first-half shots for its second-best first-half shooting effort of the season. The Spartans shot 70.4 percent vs. FAMU in the season-opener (11/19/04).
+ MSU is 13-0 when it shoots 50 percent or better from the field. In tonight's contest, the Spartans made good on 32 of 56 attempts (.571).
+ In addition to surpassing the 1,000-point mark, Paul Davis posted 14 points and 12 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season, and third in the last four games.
+ With a + 11 margin, the Spartans outrebounded Minnesota, 36-25. This marks the third consecutive game in which MSU has outrebounded its opponent by 10 or more boards.
+ Drew Neitzel and Chris Hill posted a combined 11 assists, the second-best this season for the pair. Hill and Neitzel collaborated to post 15 assists against UNC-Asheville (12/29/04).
+ Drew Neitzel started for the fourth straight game. The Spartans are 4-0 with the freshman at point guard.
+ State continued to excel in double-figure scoring, with four players posting double digits. MSU is 13-3 in games when four or more Spartans reach double figures. State's four leading scorers - Shannon Brown (18), Maurice Ager (16), Paul Davis (14) and Alan Anderson (10) - accounted for 58 of MSU's 81 points.
+ Shannon Brown led the Spartans in scoring, with 18 points, marking the 15th time in which Brown has posted double-figure scoring this season. Maurice Ager's 16 points against Minnesota, marked the 17th time this season in which he has posted double-figure scoring.
+ The No. 1 free-throw shooting team in the NCAA, MSU connected on 10 of 11 free throws, improving to .807 on the season.
+ State has sold out 110 consecutive regular-season games at the Breslin Center.
+ MSU scored 21 points off 16 Gopher turnovers.
+ Tom Izzo owns a career mark of 132-19 in the Breslin Center, including a 97-7 mark over the last seven seasons.
