Liz Shimek netted a career-best 10 free throws on a career-high 11 attempts...she scored 28 points on 9-of-11 shooting, marking the fifth time this season she has scored at least 26 points in a game.
Lindsay Bowen moved into fourth all-time in 3-point field goals made on the Big Ten charts. She connected for three 3's, and now has 247 for her career. Bowen hit a season-best eight field goals...she also played a career-high 39 minutes.
Rene Haynes dished out a career-best seven assists and hit a season-high four free throws.
The Spartans shot a season-best 54.7 percent from the field (29-53). They tied their best first-half field-goal percentage by shooting 52 percent (13-for-25), and shot a season-best 57 percent (16-for-28) in the second half.
MSU scored the game's first nine points.
