Tickets For Spartan Clash Still Available

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Tickets for the third-annual Spartan Clash are on sale at Palacenet.com, the Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster outlets, including ticketmaster.com. Tickets can be charged by phone by calling (248) 645-6666. The Spartan Clash features the Michigan State men's basketball team hosting Wichita State on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
Wichita State has opened the season with a 6-1 record. The Shockers' lone loss was a 55-54 defeat to Illinois when the Illini's Warren Carter made a shot with less than two seconds remaining.
Michigan State lost to Oklahoma, 80-77, in overtime on Dec. 6, 2003, in the first Spartan Clash. Last season, the Spartans defeated Stanford, 78-53. The all-time series between MSU and Wichita State is tied 3-3. The last meeting between the teams came during the 1989 NIT, with the Spartans defeating the Shockers, 79-67, in East Lansing.
