* Ohio State now leads the all-time series 41-18, including a 16-8 edge in games played in Columbus.
* Michigan State suffered its first road loss of the season to fall to 5-1 in that department. MSU also had its eight-game winning streak snapped.
* MSU is now 3-1 against nationally-ranked teams this season.
* Michigan State was held to its lowest scoring output of the season. The previous low was 56 points in a 56-54 victory over Utah.
* MSU allowed an opponent to shoot over 50 percent for the first time this season (51.9 percent), while MSU was held to a season-low 32.8 percent shooting.
* MSU outrebounded Ohio State 40-32, including 20 offensive boards. MSU has been outrebounded just once all season.
* Liz Shimek had her fifth double-double of the season and 16th of her career with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Shimek moved up two spots to ninth in MSU history with 650 career rebounds.
* Kristin Haynie had her second double-double of the season and fifth of her career with 11 points and 10 boards. Haynie also had a double-double last season at Ohio State with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
* Haynie also had four assists, moving her up to second in Spartan history with 446 career assists. She is 14 shy of the school record.
* Kelli Roehrig had her streak of double-figure scoring games stopped at 10. However, Roehrig did finish with nine points and moved up a notch to ninth in MSU history with 1,091 career points.
