* Michigan State dropped to 3-21 all-time vs. Penn State, and the Spartans are now 0-12 at the Bryce Jordan Center.
* Michigan State's 56 points tied its second-lowest scoring output of the season. MSU had 54 points in its other Big Ten loss at Ohio State, and scored 56 points in a 56-54 victory over Utah.
* Michigan State shot a season-low 31.1 percent from the field (19-of-61), including just 26.7 percent (8-of-30) in the second half.
* Michigan State was outrebounded by Penn State, 40-31. It was just the second time all season that MSU has been outrebounded. The only other team to outrebound MSU was TCU.
* MSU trailed at the half for just the third time this season, and lost for the first time when trailing at halftime. MSU rallied from halftime deficits to beat Boston College and Cincinnati.
* Lindsay Bowen led MSU with 13 points. It was her 60th career double-figure scoring game, and in the process, she moved up to 10th in MSU history with 1,090 career points.
* Kelli Roehrig tied a season low with six points, but did move up one spot to seventh on MSU's career scoring list with 1,146 career points.
* Roehrig led MSU with 10 rebounds. It was her sixth double-figure rebounding game of the season and 12th of her career.
* Kristin Haynie had 10 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists. She extended her school career records for assists and steals to 470 and 289, respectively.
