Spartans Complete Action At The Len Paddock Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Selected members of the Michigan State men's track and field team completed action Saturday at the Len Paddock Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan. Two Spartans, sophomore Brad Gebauer and junior Julien Williams, earned first-place finishes for the Spartans during day two of competition.
Gebauer claimed the pole vault title for the third time this season, clearing 16-4 3/4. Sophomore Mark Langlois also cleared 16-4 3/4, but took second place due to more misses. Meanwhile, Williams also won his third title of the season in his specialty, winning the long jump with a leap of 23-10 3/4.
Sophomore Brian Sherwood placed second in the high jump, clearing 6-6 3/4, while sophomore Carlos Alexander tied for fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.34. Freshman Dominique Prince was ninth in the 100-meter dash (11.29) and 12th in the 200 (23.11), while junior Ricco Roby placed tied for 15th in the 200 in 23.62.
Michigan State will compete at the Big Ten Championships next Friday-Sunday (May 14-16) in West Lafayette, Ind.
