Paul Davis Earns NABC All-District Honors

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State sophomore Paul Davis (Rochester, Mich.) was named NABC All-District 11 First Team on Thursday. Davis is one of 10 players from the states of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin to be honored by the members of the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
Davis is joined on the first team by Wisconsin's Devin Harris, Minnesota's Kris Humphries, Marquette's Travis Diener and Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Dylan Page. The district 11 second team consists of Northwestern's Jitim Young, Western Michigan's Mike Williams, Illinois-Chicago's Cedric Banks, Wisconsin's Mike Wilkinson and Illinois' Deron Williams.
Davis leads the Spartans in scoring (15.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.3). He is shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 80.4 percent from the foul line. He has scored in double figures in 18 of 23 games this season, including seven games of 20 points or more, including a career-best 32 points vs. Indiana (1/31). The Big Ten Conference has named him Player of the Week twice during the league schedule.
