* This was the first ever meeting between the two schools.
* MSU improved to 4-0 for the second straight season and third time in the last four years.
* Kelli Roehrig finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds for her sixth career double-double and first this season.
* Liz Shimek tied her career high with 19 points. It is the third time in her career and second time this season she has scored 19 points (1/6/03 vs. Purdue and 11/21/04 vs. Boston College).
* Shimek is the only Spartan who has scored in double figures in every game this season.
* Michigan State had a whopping 55-32 edge on the boards, led by Roehrig, Shimek (eight) Maggie Dwyer (a career-high eight) and Victoria Lucas-Perry (seven). MSU has outrebounded all four of its opponents this season.
* None of Michigan State's starters played more than 28 minutes.
* MSU shot a season-high 50.7 percent from the field, sinking 34-of-67 shots.
* MSU's season-best field goal percentage was due to two-point field goal attempts, as the Spartans sank just 1-of-11 3-point baskets.
* Kristin Haynie had three assists, giving her 400 for her career and making her just the fourth Spartan in history to reach that milestone.
* MSU had 19 assists and just 13 turnovers, marking the first time this season that MSU had more assists than turnovers.
