Spartan Basketball Opens 2004-05 Season With "Hometown Hoops"

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's and women's basketball teams will hold their annual midnight mania event, entitled "Hometown Hoops," on Friday night, Oct. 15, in conjunction with the opening of the 2004-05 season. Doors to the Breslin Center will open at 10:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from their favorite men's and women's basketball players along with the coaches beginning at 10:30 p.m. Shortly before midnight, the women's and men's basketball teams will be introduced. Both teams will scrimmage after midnight to mark the beginning of preseason practice. There will also be promotional giveaways, along with performances by the Spartan Brass, Michigan State Cheerleaders, MSU Dance Team and Sparty.
