Men's Track Competes At Hillsdale "Gina" Relays

HILLSDALE, Mich. - With three of their top athletes competing at the Drake Relays this weekend, several members of the Michigan State men's track team competed Friday (April 25) at the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays on the campus of Hillsdale College.
Leading the way for the Spartans was Julien Williams (Fr., Orlando, Fla.) in the long jump with a leap of 22-10 ?, which was good for sixth place. In the shot put, Derek Strittmatter (Fr., Quincy) also came in sixth with a toss of 50-03 ?.
Brian Sherwood (Fr., Fowlerville) recorded the Spartans' other top-10 finish, taking ninth in the high jump with a mark of 6-04 ?.
The final day of competition will be Saturday (April 26).
