EAST LANSING, Mich. - A majority of the Michigan State women's track team will compete in the Raleigh Relays this weekend in Raleigh, N.C., while Jamie Krzyminski (Jr., Corunna), Cindy Durocher (Jr., Parry Sound, Ont.) and Sarah Pepera (Jr., Ortonville) will travel to Palo Alto, Calif., to compete at the Stanford Invitational. The meets will mark the beginning of the outdoor season for the Spartans.
"The Raleigh Relays will give everyone a chance to compete, we look at it as a good opportunity for us," said coach Angela Goodman. "Hopefully, we will put up some good performances. The meet will also give people a chance that did not run indoors to see what they can do."
At the Stanford Invitational, Krzyminski and Duroucher will attempt to qualify for the NCAA Championships in the 10,000 meters while Pepera will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Both meets will take place Mar. 28-29.
