EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's basketball head coach Tom Izzo has announced that Erazem Lorbek (Forward, 6-8, 215, Ljubljana, Slovenia/Union Olimpija Ljubljana II) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Michigan State next fall and play for the 2002-03 basketball team. Lorbek joins fellow Spartan recruits Maurice Ager, Paul Davis, Rashi Johnson and Delco Rowley, who signed in the fall signing period.
"Erazem is a typical European player in that he is very versatile," said Izzo. "He is skilled on the perimeter and in the high post with good ball skills and the ability to score from outside much like A.J. Granger and Adam Wolfe. He will have to adjust to the physical nature of college basketball at an elite level, but as Erazem gains added strength he can become a very good college player."
