Play Suspended at Big Ten Women's Golf Championships

URBANA, Ill. - Due to heavy rain, third-round play of the Big Ten Women's Golf Championship was suspended Saturday (April 27) as most of the teams had completed the first nine holes before being removed from the course. The Championship will resume Sunday (April 28), beginning with the completion of the third round, followed by the final round.
Michigan State currently sits in fifth place after shooting a two-round total of 605 (300-305) on Friday (April 26). Ohio State leads the championship with a 297-289-586, while Purdue is in second with a 294-297-591.
Individually, senior Stacy Snider (Grand Rapids, Mich./Grandville) paces the Spartans in a tie for 11th after two rounds at the University of Illiniois' Stone Creek Golf Course. Snider fired a 75-75-150 Friday. Ohio State's Mollie Fankhauser and Lindsay Knowlton are tied for the lead, each firing a two-round score of 143.
