EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State men's basketball freshman guard Maurice Ager (Detroit) suffered a stress fracture in his right foot and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks. No surgery will be required for the injury to heal.
The 6-4, 180-pound Ager started Michigan State's first exhibition contest against the Magic Johnson All-Stars when Kelvin Torbert was sidelined with ankle surgery. Ager scored 12 points in 26 minutes of the exhibition contest.
"It's disappointing for us, but even more disappointing for Maurice because he was really starting to play better and better," said MSU head coach Tom Izzo. "It's another bit of adversity that we'll have to deal with."
