Women's Tennis Heads to Florida

East Lansing, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team (4-6 overall, 0-2 Big Ten) heads to Florida Saturday (Mar. 3) to compete and train during its spring break session. There will be an entire week (Mar. 3-Mar. 9) training and competing against Jacksonville University, Florida State, and Florida A&M. The competition schedule for the week is as follows:
March 3 @ Jacksonville University, 1:00 p.m. March 6 @ Florida State, 2:30 p.m. March 8 @ Florida A&M, 2:00 p.m.
Florida State is currently ranked No. 40 in the ITA tennis rankings. It also is where MSU head coach Tim Bauer was an assistant coach for three years at FSU (1997-2000) before heading to Michigan State.
The Spartans are on the road for the next month and a half. Their next home match will be April 14 against Iowa at 10 a.m. at the MSU outdoor courts.
