Last Year At Big Ten's: The Spartans finished fourth with 87.5 points at the 2000 Big Ten Championships. Seven Spartans placed in the top seven, including Gray Maynard (3rd at 157), Karl Nadolsky (4th at 149) and Mike Castillo (7th at 141). Former Spartan Nick Muzashvili won the Big Ten title at 197 pounds.
Want To Go?: The Big Ten Championships will be held in three sessions over the two-day period. The first session starts at noon on Saturday, March 3, and will include competition through the quarterfinals and round one of the consolation bracket. Session two will start at 7 p.m. later that day and consist of the championship semifinals and matches up to the consolation semifinals. Session three starts at noon on Sunday, March 4, and will showcase the championship match. Also slated for session three are matches for third, fifth and seventh place as well as the consolation semifinals and championship rounds. Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased in all-session packages or individually. The price of an all-session adult pass is $32, $22 for students. Individual reserved tickets for session one and two are $10 for adults, $7 for students. Session three tickets are $12 for adults, $8 for students. McNamara - CVII: Senior Pat McNamara (133) recorded his 108th career victory against 12th-ranked Witt Durden on Oklahoma on Feb. 23, moving him into eighth place on the MSU all-time career wins list. McNamara has 27 wins so far on the season. He rattled off seven straight victories until his loss to No. 1 Eric Juergens of Iowa on Feb. 11. He is currently ranked eighth in the country and has won his last four matches.

Injury Report: Sophomore Gray Maynard (157) began practicing again on Feb. 16. His target return date is the Big Ten Championships on March 3-4, where he is seeded No. 4.
Sageman Scores Three: Sophomore Charlie Sageman counted one of two wins against Oklahoma on Feb. 23. Sageman, listed at 157 pounds, upped his season record to 18-11 overall, 5-6 in duals, with a 2-0 decision over the Sooners' Tony Moore. MSU All-American Pat McNamara scored the other decision for MSU.
Soldiers In the Ranks: MSU currently boasts six of its wrestlers in the top 20 of their weight classes.
