Women's Tennis Hosts First Big Ten Competition of Season

East Lansing, Mich. - The Michigan State women's tennis team kicks off Big Ten play this weekend (Feb. 24 and 25) against Northwestern (Sat. at 11 a.m.) and Illinois (Sun. at 10 a.m.) at the MSU Indoor Tennis facility.
Freshman Trine Lise Juliussen (Oslo, Norway) is performing most consistently for the Spartans. Her singles record from the No. 4 position is 5-2, winning the last three in a row despite two team loses. Juliussen and her doubles partner, freshman Caroline Lay (Brisbane, Australia), also have the best doubles record at 4-3 from the No. 2 doubles position.
This is the last home weekend for the Spartans until April 14 when they host Iowa at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility at 10 a.m.
