Women's Golf To Play In Lady Paladin Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's golf team will play in the Lady Paladin Invitational in Greensville, S.C., Oct. 26-28. The tournament will be played at the par-72 (5,917-yard) Furman University Golf Course, starting at 8 a.m. each day.
The 21-field includes Appalachian State, No. 2 Auburn, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, No. 17 Florida, No. 30 Furman, Louisville, No. 36 Memphis, No. 13 Michigan State, No. 22 Louisiana State, No. 25 North Carolina, UNC Greensboro, No. 1 Ohio State, No. 23 Purdue, No. 38 South Carolina, No. 24 TCU, No. 46 Tulane, No. 6 Vanderbilt, No. 26 Wake Forest, Winthrop and Wofford (rankings according to Oct. 18 Golfweek.com poll).
Last year, Auburn (877) captured first at the Lady Paladin Invitational, while Auburn's Celeste Troche took home individual medalist honors, shooting 210.
The Spartans added a tournament, the Pine Needles Invitational in Pinehurst, N.C., Nov. 5-6 to conclude the fall season.
