MSU Track Names New Assistant

EAST LANSING, Mich. - MSU woman's track head coach, Angela Goodman, named Nancy Wenzel as her new assistant coach. Wenzel joins the staff after a year as the Washington State assistant coach. She also served as a volunteer coach for the program as well as a graduate assistant for Western Illinois track program.
Wenzel was an accomplished thrower for Central Connecticut State track team and competed at the 1996 US Olympic Trials in the hammer throw. She was also a TAC National Championship qualifier in the hammer in 1995. Wenzel has also been involved with teaching and speaking at several camps including the Washington State track &field camp and the Bill Falk's Throws School at Ohio State.
Wenzel graduated from Central Connecticut State with a bachelor's degree in English education and competed her master's in athletic administration at Western Illinois University.
