Three Former Spartans Compete At US Olympic Trials

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Three MSU track alumni competed in the US Olympic Trials in Sacramento, Cal. Two-time All-America at the 5000 and 10,000 meter, Jim Jurcevich, placed sixth in the 10,000 meter race (28:39.20). Ex-Spartans Kyle Baker and Steve Schell also competed in the 10,000 meter race where Baker finished 14th with a time of 29:21.89 and Schell finished 18th at 29:30.19.
Only the top three qualifiers in the event make the Olympic team.
