Schell To Represent Men's Track At NCAA Championships

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State senior Steve Schell (Dearborn, Mich.) will compete in the 10,000-meter run Thursday night at the 2000 Outdoor Track NCAA Championships hosted by Duke University in Durham, N.C.
Schell, who placed 10th in the 10,000 meters in the 1999 Outdoor Track NCAA Championships, earned All-America honors in the 5,000-meter run during the 1999 indoor season. He placed 12th this season at 5,000 meters in the 2000 Indoor Track NCAA Championships.
Entering the championships, Schell has recorded the eighth-fastest time in the nation this season, a 28:52.10 which he turned in on March 25, 2000 while competing at the Stanford Invitational.
The 10,000-meter run finals will be held Thursday, June 1 at 9:20 p.m. EST at Wallace Wade Stadium on the Duke University campus.
