Men's Track Finishes 10th At Big Ten Championships

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's track and field team finished in 10th place with 21 points at the 2000 Big Ten Outdoor Championships at Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track in Iowa City, Iowa. Wisconsin won the conference title with 155 points.
Steve Schell (Sr., Dearborn, Mich.) led the Spartans on day three, placing third in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:12.78. Also scoring for the Spartans was senior E.J. Martin (Sr., Orange Village, Ohio), who finished fourth in the 110-meter high hurdles.
Schell and Martin join Jeff Kus (Decathlon/Jr., Grand Ledge, Mich.), Matt Ingram (Decathlon/Sr., Lyons, Mich.) and Okoineme Giwa-Agbomeirele (Long Jump/Sr., Midland, Mich.), who scored points for the Spartans on days one and two of the championships.
