Women Golfers Remain In Third At Big Ten Championship

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State women's golf team is currently in third place after the first three rounds of the Big Ten Championship in Madison, Wis., shooting 305-290-303=892. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 5,962-yard University Ridge Golf Course at the University of Wisconsin. Purdue is currently in first place with a team score of 287-289-298=874, followed by Ohio State, which has a team score of 294-298-303=895.
Emily Bastel (So., Upper Sandusky, Ohio) is currently in third-place individually after firing a 71 on Saturday. Her three-day total is 78-69-71=218. Kasey Gant (Jr., Fort Wayne, Ohio) is just three shots back of Bastel, after having fired a 74 in the third round. Her three-day total is 76-71-74=221.
Stacy Snider (So., Grand Rapids, Mich.) is currently alone in 16th-place, her three day total is 73-76-78=227. Erin Roe (Fr., Martinsville, Ind.) fired a 80-75-80=235. Shellie Morton (Fr., Detroit, Mich.) fired a pair of 78's on the first day and fired a 82 on the second day for a total of 238. Jessica Till (Fr., Fort Wayne, Ind.) shot 82-75-85=242.
The Spartans will play the final round of the Big Ten Championship tomorrow, beginning at 9 a.m. CST.
