Men's Gymnastics Qualifies For NCAA Championship

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Spartan men's gymnastics team will compete in the 2000 NCAA Gymnastics Championships held in Iowa City, Iowa. The meet will take place March 30-April 1 and is being hosted by the University of Iowa.
A national qualifying meet will be held on Thursday, March 30. Team finals will be on Friday, March 31 and individual finals will be held on Saturday, April 1.
The national qualifier will consist of the top 12 teams, the best 12 all-around men not on those teams and best 12 on each event in the nation. The top 12 teams will be seeded into two six-team sessions on Thursday. The top three teams, top three all-around men and top three individuals will then advance from each session and compete on Friday. The top eight individuals during Friday's competition will advance to the individual finals on Saturday.
Last year, the Spartans finished fifth in the NCAA Regionals and did not qualify for the NCAA Championship.
