Michigan State Runs At Silverston Invitational

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan State men's track and field team competed in the Silverston Invitational at the University of Michigan on Sat., Feb. 19. There were no team scores recorded.
Senior Okie Giwa-Agbomeirele (Midland, Mich.) led the Spartans with a win in the long jump with a mark of 24' 0.75". Giwa-Agbomeirele also finished second in section two of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.00. In the 35 lb. weight throw, senior Justin Selden (Reese, Mich.) finished second with a 52' 11.5" mark. Also finishing in the top three was senior Jasmine Alverson (Inkster, Mich.). Alverson took third in section one of the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8:31.
Michigan State will return to action February 26-27 (Sat. and Sun.), when it travels to Bloomington, Ind., for the Big Ten Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Indiana University.
