Spartans in Action at USATF Outdoor Championships

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State senior Jim Jurcevich (Defiance, Ohio) and junior Steve Schell (Dearborn, Mich.) ran in the 10,000 meter run at the 1999 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, Thursday night, in Eugene, Ore. Neither Jurcevich or Schell finished the race as Alan Culpepper from the University of Colorado placed first (28:22.46).
The USATF Outdoor Championships serve as the national championship meet for track & field in the United States. The meet also serves as the selection trials for the World Track & Field Championships in Seville, Spain, in August, 1999, with the top three finishers comprising the World Championships team.
