Women's Track at Day Two of Big Ten Championship

EAST LANSING, Mich. - After two days of competition at the Big Ten Outdoor Track Championship at Rankin Track and Field in West Lafayette, Ind., the Michigan State women's track team stands 10th with three points. The three day meet will conclude on Sunday, with 13 events yet to be decided.
Michigan State athletes only completed in two event finals on Saturday. In the long jump, Nadia Ricketts (Kingston, Jamaica) tied for 13th with a leap of 5.38 meters (17' 8"). In the 3,000 meters, Sarah Parbel (Caledonia, Mich.) placed 12th at 10:37.11.
Spartans also competed in the 200 and 1,500 meter trials but did not advance to the Sunday finals.
